Back Beach 1

The clients were nearing completion of their new holiday house on the back beach when they contact MTLA for a consultation. The sloping site was effectively a sand dune with little topsoil and is buffeted by salt laden winds directly off Bass Strait. Together with the client we created a brief which identified the main items as a feature entry walk way, pedestrian access to the rear yard, raised vegetable garden and rear lawn. Gosford Sandstone slabs have been laid to create a striking entrance to the house along with succulents, olive tress and native grasses and ground covers.
